In a recent lesson, Mrs. Dunn’s first graders worked in small groups to explore making combinations of 7. They used an abacus, number bonds, and Rekener bracelets to discover missing partners for each combination. 📚🔢

Sun City Stars Shine! September is Attendance Awareness Month and we have celebrations planned for each Friday. We are looking for students to be here everyday from bell to bell. Students with 100% attendance for the week will be celebrated each Friday. Thank you parents for helping us make our weekly attendance goal!

🎶 Parade of Schools at 6:15 (all military & veterans are invited to walk!)
🍔 Food trucks will be on site—come hungry!
🎁 The Spirit Stick will be awarded at the end of the night!
🎟 Admission: A donation to the Northwest LA Veteran’s Home (cash, check, toiletries, socks, blankets, snacks, puzzle books, etc.)
