Sun City is SO proud of this year's DI (Destination Imagination) teams. They performed so well and represented Sun City exquisitely. The awards achieved are listed below.

  • Rising Star Non-Competitive Teams (K-2nd) -- Special Recognition
  • Competitive Teams (3rd Grade):
  • Structure Team - 2nd Place
  • Fine Arts Team - 2nd Place and qualified to go to DI Globals
  • Technical Team - 1st Place and qualified to go to DI Globals
  • 3rd Grader, Gage. H, was awarded the special Da Vinci award that is not normally given to an elementary student.

DI Global Finals will be in Knoxville, Tennessee in May to compete against other US and even international teams. Mr. Kirkland promised his team's students if they qualified for finals he would shave his head. He followed through on his promise at an assembly at school. Way to go, Sun City Teams!
